Dnmark's designer Rene Hougaard transforms a traditional English mews into a Danish designer home as part of the London Design Festival
|
|
In conjunction with the Danish embassy and London based architect company Child Graddon Lewis, Rene Hougaard has been commissioned to create a true Danish designer home in the heart of London’s Brompton quarter.
The traditional English mews will be transformed with natural light as the theme, this achieved through loft windows which allow shafts of light to penetrate the living space.
Open space environment
Rene has created an open plan living space within the house, incorporating both the living room and kitchen. Using only the most innovative materials, the town house will showcase Danish lifestyle and minimalism.
In good company
Only the best of the Danish furniture companies have been chosen to be represented within the house, confirmed collaborators include: Dnmark furniture (René Hougaard), Carl Hansen, Holmegård, and Le Klint amongst others.
